Homemade Cottage Cheese

Instead of buying paneer from retail outlets, you can make it at home using this recipe. Cottage cheese or paneer is a rich source of phosphorus, calcium, riboflavin, Vitamin D, selenium, potassium, Vitamin B12 and protein. 

 Ingredients: 1 ½ litre low fat milk, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, a pinch of salt. 


 1. Heat the milk in a saucepan till it is very hot. 

 2. Remove the saucepan from the flame and cool for about 2 minutes. 

 3. Add the lemon juice. The milk will curdle. 

 4. Strain the curdled milk to separate the milk solids from the whey. 

 Healthy homemade cottage cheese is ready!
