Wondering what to have for breakfast or a snack? Why don’t you try out this special lauki thepla recipe? Lauki or bottle gourd is a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K and calcium.

Ingredients:  Wheat flour 1 ½  cup,  Lauki 1/2 cup, Garlic 1 tsp, Coriander powder 2 tsp, Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp, Oil 1 tbsp for dough, Curd 1 tbsp, Oil 4 tbsp for making thepla

Steps:

1.  Peel and grate the lauki. Add to the wheat flour, along with garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt as per taste. 

2.  Add around 1 tbsp of oil and 1 tbsp of curd and knead into a dough without adding any extra water. Keep the dough aside to rest for 5-10 min.

3.  Divide the dough into balls and roll into 4-5 inch round theplas.

4.  Fry on a hot tava and serve with curd and pickle.
