Maize Flour Dhokla
This is a recipe which is healthy, tasty and highly pleasing for anyone. As the name suggests, maize is the main ingredient. It is rich in iron, vitamin B, folic acid which forms new blood cells and prevents Anemia. It is a high fiber helps with proper digestion.
Ingredients: 1 cup maize flour, 2 pinches of turmeric, 2 pinches red chilli, 1 pinch cumin powder, 1/2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped, 1 pinch baking soda, 1 pinch hing, 1/2 tbsp oil, salt
1. First, take maize flour and add all the mentioned ingredients to it, mix well.
2. Knead into a soft dough using warm water.
3. Make small balls, flatten them and make a hole in the center as we do for medhu wada.
4. Use a steamer to steam the dhoklas, or you can use an idli vessel as well.
Serve little hot with chutney or sauce.
