Multi-Grain Chilla

Time to have a delicious and healthy treat. This is the recipe which gives plenty of nutrients in the form of grains. Wheat flour is rich in thiamin, folate, and vitamin B6, minerals like magnesium, fibre and zinc, which provides energy for physical growth. Maize is a rich source of vitamin B, fibre and minerals which promote eye health and prevents Anemia. Ragi is a great source of calcium, high fibre and it reduces the risk of diabetes. 

Ingredients: 2 kg whole wheat, 100 gms oats, 100 gms maize, 50 gms ragi, 100 gms chana dal, 50 gms soya bean, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, 1 onion slice, 1 tomato slice, veggies as needed

Steps:

1. Wash all the grains properly and let them dry completely in sunlight, roast properly and grind well. You can store it in an airtight container for further use for 2-3 months. 

2. Take 5 spoons of flour or as per the required size of chilla, mix all the remaining ingredients, tomato and onion paste and veggies if your child is comfortable.

3. Add water and make a dosa batter consistency.

4. Heat a pan, put some ghee, spread the batter and keep a lid so it can cook well. 

You can serve with chutney or milk or just like that.
