Among other variety of tasty and healthy food are lentils. They are quite creamy and make an excellent choice of baby food. They are packed with nutrients and minerals. It is especially recommended to have lentils at least once in a week. This lentils and rice recipe is a full meal and can be served at any time. Make sure that the rice and lentils are free of any stones that might go in the food. 

Ingredients: 2 cups of water, ¾ cup split red lentils, ½ cup carrots, peeled and diced, ¼ cup brown rice


 1. Take a saucepan and combine all ingredients together. Let the mixture come to a boil and allow to simmer for another 20 minutes.

 2. If needed, add more water. Finish the process as and when the rice are cooked, the lentils have melted and carrots are soft.
