Did you know that the white portion of watermelons can be used to make a very tasty dish – Watermelon Dosa! This portion of the fruit is full of valuable minerals and vitamins.

Ingredients: medium sized watermelon (white portion only), 1 cup grated coconut, 3/4 cup rice flour, salt to taste


1.    After removing the red portion of the watermelon, take the white portion and grate it, throw away the green skin.

2.    Add grated coconut, rice powder, salt with a little water if required, to make a batter.

3.    Heat a pan and apply a little oil. Pour one ladle full of the batter and spread to make a thick round dosa. Drizzle a little oil around the dosa and cook for 2 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side too.

4.   Serve hot with green chutney.
