Your little one's toothy smile now needs some extra care as it's time to graduate to using toothbrushes for them . With plenty of toothbrushes and toothpastes in the market, it is confusing to choose the best one.
Choosing the right toothbrush
Always use a toothbrush that is specifically for kids. This is because the heads of these brushes are small, oval and the bristles are very soft while the handle is non-slippery. Cross bristles are good as they can reach well between the teeth. It is also good to change the brush every 3 months.
Choosing the right toothpaste
Your kid’s toothpaste should have good fluoride content. Make sure you purchase child-friendly toothpaste as some kids tend to swallow them. Some will also find their toothpaste to be unpleasant and semi-painful.
Ensure you pay a lot of attention to the toothpaste. Never use any medicated toothpaste that has a specific purpose without the advice of the dentist, (eg: to treat sensitivity or bleeding gums). These might harm your child’s teeth.
So keep these elements in mind and your little one will thoroughly enjoy her teeth-brushing time!
