While learning to walk, your little one first walks on his toes (or the ball of the foot). This is called toe walking. From toe-walking he moves to heel-to-toe walking. This takes practice involving few spills. That is normal and a part of learning experience for your little one.
What you need to know
Encourage your child to practice heel-to-toe walking. Praise his efforts. If he feels uncomfortable or has pain, he can rest and then start again. If your child is still walking on his toes after 2, please consult the paediatrician.
